This very nice Citroen SM was build in June 1972 and equipped with a carburetor engine and manual gearbox. This car is a very exceptional car, as it was sold new in Belgium and remained in the same family till now. As shown on the “Bestelbon” (order form) dated 24th April 1971, the car was sold new to Mrs. Verbesselt residing in Londerzeel, Belgium. The car was registered on 13th July 1973, after a long waiting time and licensed with plate M751U. The old family pictures sure tell the car was preciously taken care off. In 2002 the car was entirely restored in its original condition. It participated at many touristic rallies in Belgium, organized by the Belgian DS/SM Club. On a nice note from Mr. Verheyden, husband of Mrs. Verbesselt, you can read:

Since the original owners are getting a bit older, they decided to sell their baby, to a real Citroen SM fan and collector. This is why the car was offered to Thierry Dehaeck, who owns a wide SM collection, such as: Mylord, Opéra, Espace, SM US Version and other original SM Coupes. This is how on 19th June 2020, Thierry Dehaeck became the second owner of this exceptional SM that was sold new in Belgium and had up to now only one home. It will now continue to be kept preciously, next to the other SM’s in the collection.
