Description

This vehicle was origianlly delivered to coach builder James Young for a 2 door 4 seater saloon coupé coachwork, body number 1535, in November 1948 as ordered by Capt. Richard F. Haworth wit hregistration number EZ1 in Northern Ireland. This stunning car has a Rolls Royce B81, 8 cylinder, front longitudinal lay out, liquid coolled, 6516 cc which produces 220 horsepower. It has a manual 4 speed gearbox driving the rear wheels. The car has had a big service, some small repairs. It is a recreation of the Bentley Speed 8, a legendary race car of the early 1930's. It is based on the restored chassis of a Bentley Mark VI, of which the body was replaced. This recreation was finished in 2008 and the car still looks in an as-new condition.
